A masterful screen play of a classic novel

I got this script because characters in another movie were arguing about Mansfield Park ( the novel) and of all Jane Austin's work, it was one I knew nothing about. I may still know nothing about the novel,but I want to see this movie! I think that the abolishionist sub-theme may be the reason
this novel is less well known? It seems clear that in this movie Jane Austin is very much shown as a feminist? Her men are either brutes or angels
with little sympathy for their humanity?
I liked this script: it seems very well written.

This screenplay was very helpful for a paper I was writing on Rozema's adaptation of Mansfield Park. The foreword by an Austen scholar was also very interesting.
The vendor was extremely prompt, the book was delivered before I expected it. The book was in excellent condition.

I love Jane Austen. And this was the movie that made me fall in love with her work. This book excellent. I act it out all the time and read it along with the movie. This a really great book!If your not sure about it, watch the movie; you'll see what I mean.

About the Author
Terence P. Moran, Professor of Media Ecology in the Department of Media, Culture, and Communication of New York University, is the co-editor of Language in America: A Report on Our Deteriorating Semantic Environment and the co-author of Selling War to America: From the Spanish American War to the Global War on Terror. He has received a Teaching Excellence Award from the Steinhardt School, a Louis Forsdale Award for Outstanding Educator in the Field of Media Ecology, and a special Founder of Media Ecology Award from the New York State Communication Association. In addition to writing numerous articles on language, culture, media, and communication, he was executive producer for two television documentaries, McSorley’s New York (New York Chapter 1987 Emmy Award) and Sons of Derry (1992), a report on the troubles in Northern Ireland.

Planning to buy the passenger jets

The book is truly an amazing educational, self explanatory and informative document; that would defiantly help in this field. I have been working as an Airline agent for exactly twenty years in this field and learnt a lot from this highly recommended book.

If I were the head of IATA, I would recommend all airlines to have one at least in their technical library

The next part consists of chapters on consumer index numbers; household characteristics, demand, and household welfare comparisons; and social welfare and inequality. The last part extends the coverage of consumer behaviour to include the quality of goods and household production theory, labour supply and human capital theory, the consumption function and intertemporal choice, the demand for durable goods, and choice under uncertainty.

About the Author
Angus Deaton is Dwight D. Eisenhower Professor of Economics and International Affairs in the Department of Economics and the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs at Princeton University. He is the author of many books, including The Great Escape: Health, Wealth, and the Origins of Inequality (2013). In 2015, he was awarded the Nobel Memorial Prize in Economic Sciences in recognition of his outstanding contribution to the analysis of consumption, poverty and welfare.

John Muellbauer is Senior Research Fellow of Nuffield College, Professor of Economics and Senior Fellow of the Institute for New Economic Thinking at the Oxford Martin School, University of Oxford. He is a CEPR Research Fellow and a Fellow of the British Academy, the Econometric Society and the European Economic Association. In addition to his many academic affiliations, he has also been a consultant to the Bank of England, HM Treasury and the UK Department for Communities and Local Government (DCLG).

Still a great textbook

It is true that this book is now a bit dated. However, first, much of the foundations of microeconomic theory has not changed since the 80s and, second, this book contains a great deal that more "modern" micro textbooks (such as Mas-Colell, Whinston, and Green MWG) do not even mention. In particular, if your interest lies mostly in APPLIED work, this book is, in my opinion, superior to MWG. The chapters on demand are superb, and not surprisingly you still see them cited in hundreds of recent papers. I stress the fact that here you will not only learn about the building blocks of consumer theory, but you will also see actual APPLICATIONS of the estimation of demand systems (including the now famous Almost Ideal Demand System "invented" by the authors themselves). This textbook is invaluable for those who want to have a rigorous primer on demand, and demand estimation. Also excellent are the treatment of non-linear budget constraints, and price indexes. The book is also VERY well written, and intuition is almost always provided. On the minus side, game theory and contract theory are not covered at all, but these are topics that are covered well in many other books (including MWG).

Great book for those who already have some familiarity with microeconomics in particular consumer theory.
The book's emphasis on duality. Book also shows the almost linear demand system model (AIDS) authoring authors. For those who
search a book of applied microeconomics, this is a good indication.

Even if somewhat dated, this text still gives a clear and pertinent exposition of consumer behaviour theory. It is an unavoidable introduction to further literature on the topic, such as Deaton's work.
