Fantastic for girls

This was my very first manga and very first anime ever. (granted, I did watch the English dub first, which I probably shouldn't have, but it's all good now) It gives me happy, nostalgic feelings every time I read it and I cannot wait to show it to my kids when I get married and have children. I read it when I was ten, so obviously, since I was ten, I thought it was the most amazing thing ever made. Five years later, I still love it.

The story is about a thirteen year old girl named Ichigo Momomiya (meaning Strawberry Peach Shrine) and her colleagues, who she will meet later in the story. There are Aliens trying to take back Earth from the humans who stole it from them so long ago. A boy named Ryou Shirogane and his guardian (since Ryou has no parents) Keiichiro Akasaka have created the Mews to defend the Earth from the monsters the Aliens create called Kimera Anima. There are five girls and each of them are injected with the DNA of an endangered animal. Together they battle three Aliens named Kisshu, Pai and Taruto.

Most of the characters in this manga are named after food and their outfits are the color of that food, most of the time. (the girls. Not the Aliens) It is a very, very cute manga. Those who like gory, horror manga like Higurashi or Elfen Lied should definitely not go near this manga unless you are in the mood for some KAWAII DESU NE shoujo. Those who like things like Sailor Moon, Mermaid Melody, Card Captor Sakura, Shugo Chara!, or other manga like that should definitely try this out. It's a great story for a little girl.

I must admit, sometimes it is a little frustrating. I want SO bad for Ichigo to NOT go for Masaya, but wishes rarely come true. Oh yeah, Masaya is a boy Ichigo likes. He's the super perfect, popular, impossible guy that everyone seems to hate as they read more about him.

Anyway, long review is long. I definitely recommend this manga. I ordered it in the mail last night and cannot wait for it to come in. The art is very unique and adorable.

i got the hole series to tokyo mew mew soon as i pick up the book could not stop reading. enjoyed hole series wish it was longer. i started to collect them september 2005 it cost 9$ bucks now i see the book cost 50$ new it most be rare i am going to make sure i take good care of mine.

An absolute "sleeper," this book is a definite "Must-Have" for any serious student/teacher/professor/researcher/grad student of U.S. history. "Overview" hardly captures it!
The comprehensiveness is extraordinary. Nearly a period of three hundred years in one neat volume!
This book is especially highly recommended for European or Asian researchers of U.S. history, as well as exchange students and first-time foreign students in the USA. Winston Churchill could have well used a book like this one when he wrote his famous volumes about America. Pity he didn't have it at hand at that time, as he was making history himself.

Doesn't explain how to figure out diffrent problems or solutions

I bought this book for a college math class. The book covers the topics of math and even has a chapter called math anxiety which is about dispelling the myths about math and how to overcome your fears and bad experiences with previous math classes.

The main issues I have with this book is... There is only one example given for a problem and he doesn't explain the rules/principles of math. For example on page 55 if you were to find the LCD (lowest common denominator) for 6 and 8.

The solution shows 6 = 2 X 3 and 8 = 2 to the third power.

So the LCD is: 2 third power X 3 = 8 X 3 = 24

That's it! There's no explanation has to how he came up with the numbers that he did! He just did and that's it!

For someone who understands the rules of math very well or is just using this book as a recent refresher reference, they might disagree with my review. But for someone who has never really had a grasp on math and it's rules (or doesn't know the rules at all) will find using this book (and the class) very frustrating.

My advice is if this book is required for your class and you're having trouble understanding the concepts or you find yourself saying "How the "BLEEP" did he come up with that answer!?" find a good supplement book and DO ask your teacher for help.

Written for the class - not for individuals

If you're enrolled in the Apple course, this books is likely very helpful, but if you're an individual looking for a "how-to" resource to guide you through configuring OSX Server for your own network, this book is a far cry from what you're looking for. All instructions are written for the in-class network environment that Apple uses for their instructor-led Certified Technical Coordinator course. If there's information in here about how to configure a server in the real world, I can't find it. Best to rely on online user forums or maybe another text unless you're sitting in an Apple classroom.

She lives in Durham, Connecticut.

This is an interesting book on historical happenings in CT. I really enjoyed it and now my son is sharing it with his 4th grade history class. There are many interesting facts for adults and children alike.
